kalite At Orient Translation Services, our quality standard has two primary elements: Human Resources Process and Quality Control Process. Also, ISO 17100:2015 standard pertains to the translation industry and ISO 9000:2008 quality standard assures that all our procedures are performed conclusively.

Human Resources

According to the organizational structure of Orient Translation Services, existing internal and external resources are used or brought in depending on the needs of each project. The recruitment process of both internal and external resources is done in line with the criteria from the ISO 17100:2015 standard. In-house or freelance translators/editors/proofreaders shall have at least one of the following qualifications:

  • Higher education degree in translation
  • Equivalent degree qualification in any subject as well as at least two years of documented translation experience
  • At least five years of documented translation experience

Along with these qualifications, translators/editors/proofreaders shall be able to prove several professional competences. These competences are measured by an informative test kit which is delivered by Orient Translation Services to them during the recruitment process.

Quality Control

Orient Translation Services undertakes that each translator and editor, who works for Orient, performs a quality check for all completed tasks in accordance with the Service Level Agreement. Besides, the project coordinator accepts and declares that they check the relevant completed projects through the project management tool. During the control phase, the four-eye principle is adopted. Both translator/editor and the project coordinator use facilitating tools for grammar and spell checks, and quality control tools to check the integrity. The translation is checked based on the aspects below:
